OVERVIEW
Late post: almost a year late, actually. Anyways, almost a year ago, I decided to throw my sister a little baby sprinkle. Since it was summertime, I decided to do a little get-together in our courtyard. Luckily, it wasn't a hot day in June, which is surprising for south Texas. It was actually a nice day, with a nice breeze.
I decided to do a "baby-q" theme for the baby sprinkle, coz what is better than bar b q during the summer time? Since they were expecting another baby boy, who is going to turn 1 in a few months by the way, I decided to do a baby blue and yellow color scheme.
DECOR, FOOD & FAVORS
My husband and I set up tables with white linens, and alternating yellow and blue gingham table toppers. For the centerpieces, I used blue painted mason jars with baby's breath, and white ceramic planters with succulents and little plastic windmills.
The dessert table consisted of pies, brownies, chocolate covered apples, cupcakes, lemon loaf bread, and of course, the beautiful cake. For the main food table, we had bar b q chicken and pork that my husband bar b qued right before the party started. We also had some pancit and other filipino dishes (of course). We also set up a cold table, where the side dishes such as the coleslaw, potato salad, and pasta salad were placed. My brother also hired a burger and hot dog cart vendor. It was great! They made the hotdogs and burgers as the guests ordered. I decided to set up a condiment station for the guests to fill their hotdogs and burgers with whatever they desire.
For party favors, the guests took home baby q sauce and chocolates.
